Thomas Bow & City Asphalt are leading Property Maintenance, Surfacing
and Civil Engineering Contractors, able to supply services across a wide
area of the Midlands.
Both companies are committed to providing first-class products and services,
and thus total customer satisfaction. We demand quality from both ourselves
and our suppliers, so that we can consistently provide the best products
and services in the marketplace.
To achieve this, they have established, and operate Quality and Environment
Management systems which meet the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001
The management is responsible for the effective implementation and maintenance
of this Policy. This will be ensured by the provision of adequate resources
and a disciplined approach.
The company policies have also been set to support the aims and framework
contained within the environmental policy document for Thomas Bow and
City Asphalt, and the companies will:
- maintain management systems that are designed to ensure compliance
with the law and the prevention of pollution. We will strive for
continuous improvement in all that we do, and will work to ensure that
environmental considerations are fully integrated into all business
processes.
- work to the highest standard of social and ethical behaviour, adding
practices that fully embody this responsibility, and communicate
this policy to all stakeholders.
- introduce processes that reduce waste, and where waste may not
be eliminated, will arrange for environmentally sound treatment and
disposal, or find markets where it can be used as a raw material.
- conserve water resources, by recycling wherever practicable; ensuring
compliance with discharge consent conditions; and by taking steps
to minimise the risk of accidental or malicious pollution.
- maximise efficient use of energy in the businesses, and minimise
any potentially adverse affects that activities, products and services
may have throughout a life cycle.
- incorporate sustainable development thinking into operations by
considering the social, economic and environmental dimensions when
we do our business planning.
- where appropriate will conserve existing habitats and create new
ones which support plants and wildlife both during operations, and
after they have ceased.
